On May 1 and 2, in an event known as Cabalgata Vaquera El Alamar, participants take part in a 4-5 hour guided horseback riding adventure at Parque Nacional Constitución de 1857 in the Sierra de Juarez. This is always a fun family event, and allows visitors to the region to experience the local landscape and culture. Registration fee includes meals and overnight camping (bring your own tent and equipment) at Rancho El Alamar. Those attending can either obtain a horse rental available, and are encouraged to bring their own horse for the trip.
