Off road racing fans cross the coast into Baja California, Mexico every year at the end of March for the RECORD off-road racing series called the El Alamo 200 OffRoad Race. This is a circuit race featuring motorcycles, ATVs and four-wheel vehicles from both sides of the border competing in a difficult four-lap race. The circuit is 50 miles in duration and is located 50 miles southeast of Ensenada in the small town of El Alamo, Mexico.

From March 12-14, more than 225 cars, trucks, motorcycles and ATVs attempt to complete a challenging course that starts and finishes in the town of San Felipe on the Sea of Cortés. The desert race is known as the 24th annual Mastercraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, and each year proves to be an exciting race. Take advantage of the warm Baja waters and spend a day whalewatching for Gray Whales off the coast of Mexico. A relative of Humpback and Blue Whales, Gray Whales are the most common type of whale seen off the coast of the Baja Peninsula. The whales can be seen any time from late November to late March with the greatest number of sightings during the month of February.
There are two main areas around Ensenada, Mexico where whales can be seen.
Todos Santos Bay

Scammon’s Lagoon or Laguna Ojo de Liebre
